December 11, 2009 Autodesk announces new upgrade software delivery policy for Subscription Customers
Starting in 2010, software download will become the default method for delivering software upgrades to Subscription customers in the United States. Subscription customers will no longer receive boxed shipments unless specifically requested; instead, they will receive an email notification that their upgrade is available to download.
If you wish to request a boxed shipment, you may do so by changing the settings in your Subscription Center profile. Please see Question #11 in the software download FAQ for instructions. Subscription Center Sign in FAQ Benefits of Software Download
In addition to giving you immediate access to new software features, software download provides the following benefits: - Convenience—It’s more convenient than installing software from a DVD or CD and is available 24 hours a day.
- Sustainability—Because there’s no printing, packaging, or shipping, it’s a more sustainable choice.
- Central control—Software Coordinators can provide users with electronic access to upgrades and manage software permissions centrally.
For more information, read the software download FAQ or contact your Account Manager at MicroCAD Training & Consulting, 888-923-2279.
